About the ADTA (Abergavenny and District Tourist Association)

We are Abergavenny and District Tourist Association (ADTA). We are the oldest official tourist marketing organisation for Abergavenny and the surrounding area.

We are a group of business owners and we work on behalf of our members to market tourism businesses and things to do in the Abergavenny area. Our members include accommodation businesses and activity providers as well as hotels, shops, restaurants and cafes.

We also highlight the many things for visitors to do in the town and around such as shopping, eating, drinking and visiting tourist attractions in the wider area.

We also promote the huge number of outdoor activities that are on offer around Abergavenny and the town’s regular festivals of food and cycling.

ADTA is Abergavenny’s oldest business association

ADTA was established in 1983 and has more than 100 members ranging from ranging from hotels and B&Bs to caravan and camping sites, self-catering holiday cottages and farm accommodation.

We also have members who own shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants as well as representing many activity providers.

We work closely with the tourism team at the Brecon Beacons National Park to promote the area, and we have strong links with the town’s official Tourist Information Centre.
